Updated: Mar 30, 2023

Happy St. Patricks Day!

St. Patrick's Day is a widely celebrated holiday, particularly in Ireland and the United States.

The celebration is known for its lively parades, abundant green attire, and wildly festive atmosphere, but do you know what the significance of shamrocks and the colour green is on this day?

The shamrock is a three-leaf clover that has become an iconic symbol of St. Patrick's Day.

According to legend, Saint Patrick used the Shamrock to explain the Holy Trinity to the people of Ireland. Each leaf represented one aspect of the Trinity: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

From this association, the shamrock became a powerful symbol of Irish identity and representation of Saint Patrick's teachings.

Green is the colour of the Emerald Isle, the lush green landscape that is so emblematic of Ireland. On St. Patrick's Day, people wear green to celebrate their Irish heritage and to bring good luck.

One theory suggests that wearing green on St. Patrick's Day makes you invisible to leprechauns, who are known for their mischievous pranks.

Legend says that if you're not wearing green on St. Patrick's Day, the leprechauns will be able to see you and may pinch you!

St. Patrick's Day was originally a religious holiday, celebrating the patron saint of Ireland. But over time, it has evolved into a cultural celebration of Irish identity and heritage.

Whether you're Irish or not, St. Patrick's Day is a fun and festive day to celebrate. So put on your green and grab a shamrock, let's raise a glass to Saint Patrick and all things Irish!

To celebrate this fun holiday, we are sharing our creamy and delicious recipe for a Shamrock Shooter!🍀
