NEW YEAR'S FRENCH 75

Cheers to the New Year! 🥂

As we bid farewell to this incredible year filled with gratitude, joy, and cherished moments, we're thrilled to welcome the promise of new beginnings in 2024!

To celebrate the dawn of a New Year, we invite you to join us in raising a glass to new beginnings with something truly special—an elegant and delicious twist on the quintessential glass of bubbly!

The classic French 75 - a sparkling concoction that embodies the spirit of celebration.

Dating back to World War I - the French 75 has a rich history, with its roots at Harry's New York Bar in Paris, where barman Harry MacElhone crafted a drink that was said to have such a kick it was akin to being shelled with a French 75mm field gun.

There is debate whether this drink was made with gin or cognac, since it was believed that 'The Lafayette Escadrille', an allied fighter pilot outfit made up of American and French military would drink cognac and Champagne after successful air raids and toast to the French 75 cannon for their safety. However, the modern version often features the refreshing notes of gin.

Why not kick off your New Year with a twist of flavour?

Try our recipe for the gin-based French 75 and usher in the new year with a refreshing burst of taste and a nod to the past.

Here's to a fantastic year ahead—filled with joy, success, and countless delightful sips!
