Le Diner En Blanc is an open-air gathering of elegance and mystery held globally in over 80 cities every year!
Dressed all in white, a sea of over 130,000 guests worldwide come together for an extraordinary evening of elegance, tradition, and culinary delight.
As the sun sets over a previously undisclosed location, it transforms into a breathtaking spectacle of white tables, chairs, and linens, meticulously arranged for an unforgettable dining experience accompanied by lively music and dancing.
Each table is responsible for crafting a unique table display that reflects their personal style and artistic flair. Guests are required to carry everything from tables and chairs to linens and decor to the secret location that is only revealed on the day of the event!
With meticulous attention to detail, participants infuse their displays with elements that reflect their passions and personalities... The result is a mesmerizing tapestry of creativity as tables transform into breathtaking masterpieces.
Fragrant flowers cascade from ornate vases, flickering candles cast a warm glow, and whimsical décor adds a touch of playfulness.
Each table becomes a work of art, sparking conversations as guests wander through the enchanting landscape.
The international series of Le Diner En Blanc is spread out over the year!
Le Dinêr en Blanc Vancouver takes place in August and is produced by our friends at The Social Concierge. It was a pleasure being invited by them to host 2 tables at the 2022 event!
Thus began our challenge to create unique and memorable table centrepieces for the exclusive and world-renowned Le Dinêr en Blanc in Vancouver.
The criteria was simple - it had to be classy, glamorous, distinctive and of course - all-white.
Being a team very inspired by natural shapes, it was quickly decided that we would create life-size sculptures of body parts that were functional, beautiful and easily portable…While we knew the sculptures had to be aesthetically pleasing we had to ensure they were light and durable so they could be carried to the secret location on foot the day of the event. We also wanted them to be functional and striking to passersby...it took some team work and creative experimentation, but we got there!
Plaster bandages, wire and paint transformed into busts, arms and feet that were bizarre yet elegant adorned with beautiful white flowers and soft lighting.
Each sculpture could hold tea lights and trays filled with delicious snacks for our guests to enjoy!
We are so grateful to our model, Charisma Cubillo, for being our muse and allowing us to get messy and creative in creating moulds of her body for our art.
We also couldn't have made these gorgeous sculptures without the creativity and skill put into them by EMM Team: Staije Ryan, Alekhya Raghavan and Erica Marrello!
We cannot wait to take on more exciting projects like this and to challenge ourselves creating fun, unique artistic decor for the next opportunity!
