Glenmorangie launched the new limited edition 'A Tale of the Forest' Whiskey in Vancouver through a premium tasting experience for 40 exclusive industry guests. The event took place in Stanley Park.
As guests arrived, they were guided through a lush forest walk and shown the various herbs and fauna that inspired the creation of the new whiskey.
The inspiring nature walk led to a beautiful clearing where guests were invited to sit together at the long-table and enjoy the delectable custom tasting menu created by Cocktails and Canapes that enhanced the spirited flavours of the limited edition scotch.
Our task was to create a striking hand-painted "Instagram Moment" to act as the perfect backdrop for guests to capture memories of the gorgeous experience. The activation needed to mesh the beauty of the nature we were surrounded by along with the design and brand elements of Glenmorangie's 'A Tale of the Forest' new limited edition design. We knew instantly that our custom art walls were the perfect starting place for this project.

From conception to creation, the custom art wall for Glenmorangie was an exciting challenge for our team. With the natural botanical motifs and a vibrant colour palette, it was important to not only stay true to the new limited edition branding but also capture the aura of the surrounding fauna of the event which took place in Stanley Park.
We pulled inspiration from the fantastical original Limited Edition artwork by the fabulous Pomme Chan as well as the local flora and fauna that surrounds us here in Vancouver to develop this magic portal to A Tale of the Forest...

The piece was additionally influenced by the “lush and invitingly herbaceous” product description of the whisky, with tasting notes of juniper berries, heather flowers, orange, and pine. We also made sure to incorporate some of our gorgeous local West Coast Pacific native greenery like ferns, bluebells, goatsbeard and pacific bleeding hearts to make sure we were showcasing our surrounding natural greenery while still honouring the original brand art and design by Pomme Chan.
This piece was finished on-site as an added experience for the guests to enjoy as they entered the tasting area.
It took some focus to get the hand-painted logo to look just like printed and adding our special touch through detailed technicolour outlines...this project was all about the details.
With a little help from gorgeous natural light and shadows, we are so in love with how it turned out. The striking 8'x8' temporary wall was the perfect backdrop for guests to capture personal memories of such an unforgettable experience.
