A vibrant fusion of creativity, colour, and imagination come together on the grand stage of Bass Coast Festival - combining an array of multidisciplinary arts, including music, lighting, paint and movement - we were honoured to be a part of this unforgettable experience for the 15th edition.
Earlier in July, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with Zynth Entertainment and To the Moon Costume Design to create an epic line up of day and night costumes and characters for the team of ever-talented Zynth Dancers!
This year's theme, "Avant Garden," set the stage for a magical experience, where our team had the extraordinary task to design and hand-paint costumes for the mesmerizing Zynth Entertainment Dancers, in collaboration with the talented To the Moon Costume Design.

Three days were a thrilling challenge as our team set out to hand-paint over ten different costume pieces.
Armed with an array of brushes, neon dyes, many many many cans of spray paint and an unwavering passion for the arts, our hands meticulously brought life to the fabric, carefully crafting patterns and colours that would evoke awe and wonder in the hearts of the festival-goers.
The intensity of the project was matched only by the joy of seeing our creations come to life before our eyes.
As the excitement brewed and the clock ticked down, our team embarked on the journey of creating the bodysuits that would magically transform the dancers into enchanting nighttime creatures and glowing moving works of art on stage.
Owls, moths, and dragonflies served as our inspiration, guiding us to design costumes that not only looked stunning during the day but also glowed under the mystical black light of Bass Coast's forest nights.
We spray painted abstract sectional designs onto the mesh bodysuits. Our mannequins got a taste of the party too as they acquired some added decoration sprayed in neon pink and green.
Among the highlights of our costume pieces was the creation of four sets of magnificent "moth wings". These silk fans were destined to be props for the "moth" dancers, and we poured our hearts into every brushstroke.
Over seventy-two hours, we hand-painted intricate designs on the fans, infusing them with radiant neon hues that would mesmerize the audience as they swirled and glowed on the stage.
In addition to the artistry of these hand-painted costumes, we undertook an intoxicating challenge in spray painting two enormous parachute-like structures to resemble an abstract bouquet of flowers, adorning the backs of two Zynth Dancers for the daytime looks.
These massive, artful creations stood 10 feet tall and were visible from a distance and through the trees, making an intriguing and striking statement at through the forest and festival grounds.
Each structure was delicately adorned with vibrant colours, and as they gently swayed in the breeze, they added an ethereal touch to the dancers' performances. The satisfaction of witnessing these masterpieces complement the artistic brilliance of the festival was truly unparalleled.
As the Bass Coast stage lit up with our dancers transformed into magical creatures of the night, the satisfaction and pride of witnessing our art in motion was unparalleled.
The glow of the costumes under the black light and the ethereal charm of the moth wings added an extra dimension to the festival's atmosphere, captivating the souls of those in attendance at the main stage for world-renowned DJ's Justin Martin and Skiitour!
